Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Core Labs

Founded in 1946, OMRF is among the oldest and most respected nonprofit medical research institutes. OMRF fosters a cross-disciplinary approach to research among its 54 Principle Investigators and a staff of over 500 whose research has resulted in 3 FDA approved drugs, and formation of over 13 life-sciences based companies. In addition to interaction with its scientists Accele Biopharma Inc. enjoys access to OMRF’s cutting-edge research and core facilities:

University Research Park Campus

In 1996, PHF began its mission “to accelerate bioscience discoveries to solutions that save or enhance human life” in Oklahoma City. To date PHF has given nearly 1000 grants to help finance biomedical research in Oklahoma City and built a Research Park with 700,000 square feet of Class A wet laboratory and office space to house such companies. Now owned by the University of Oklahoma, the University Research Park on the Oklahoma Health Science Center Campus is home to 55 companies, 35 of which are biomedical research-based. Accele Biopharma Inc. has its offices in the University Research Park and options for laboratory space that can be customized to meet a portfolio company’s needs.

Accele Biopharma Inc. has also established a working collaboration with fellow University Research Park tenant Cytovance Biologics Inc.,  a cGMP biologics and contract manufacturing company. Accele Biopharma Inc. and Cytovance work together to evaluate development and manufacturing issues for biologic therapeutics.

Innovation to Enterprise (i2E)

Originally founded in 1997, i2E  is a private nonprofit corporation focused on building Oklahoma-based high-growth companies, including those in the biomedical sector. i2E nurtures companies with Venture Advisory services, Access to Capital though funds that it manages, and with Entrepreneurial Development.

In addition to direct help, i2E acts as a portal to other private and public resources available to companies at various stages in their growth. In addition to direct participation in Accele Biopharma Inc., i2E has the option to co-invest in portfolio companies as part of a syndicate of investors.

The senior management of Accele Biopharma Inc. has more than 75 years of combined experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology research and development. They have established relationships with a network of subject matter expert consultants in regulatory affairs, manufacturing, pre-clinical POC and safety testing, and clinical development who are available to evaluate opportunities and advise portfolio companies as needed. Through its activities Accele Biopharma Inc. has access to new technologies from leading institutions around the world.
